Help Us Do Great Things in Salem County!

Dear Friends,
I, Bill Butler, am writing to you on behalf of the YMCA of Salem County, to request your help supporting our cause.  We are starting our annual campaign to support the vital work we do in the community, but this year we have been blessed with a challenge gift from the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation. Over the next two weeks, the Foundation will match us dollar for dollar up to $7,500. This is an amazing opportunity for our YMCA to literally double the amount we raise in November.

These critical funds are used to help with programs like the Get Fit program that works with mentally and physically disabled individuals, or our youth programs which grew by 200% this past year. We want to add programs that encourage youth to get active from an early age. We are currently expanding developmental basketball and indoor soccer leagues to get children in our area to discover the valuable lessons that so many of us have learned from organized sports. These funds also help expand our aquatic fitness classes that are particularly critical for our aging seniors that need the daily aquatic therapy to combat conditions like arthritis and osteoporosis.

We also are staying true to the “C” in the YMCA by partnering with several local churches to provide critical community services. We have partnered with Calvary Baptist to provide a monthly effort to feed the poor, and to support their winter coat drive. We are also partnering with the Catholic Church to bring GED classes to help empower residents through education. We can’t accomplish this without your help.
If you would like to contribute to this special challenge gift, you simply write a check made payable to the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation with “YMCA” in the memo line. You can deliver your check to the YMCA or the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation. After November 30th, the totals amount will be tallied and the Foundation will write a check to the YMCA for DOUBLE the amount raised!!

Thank you for taking the time to read about our Annual Community Support Campaign.  We are asking you to “give” so that we can “give” to those in need.   We appreciate your consideration of our request.  If you would like more information about this worthy tax deductable initiative, please contact me at 856-299-1493 or bbutler@myymca.net.
Sincerely,

William Butler
